Class Information

All Classes meet once a week for 5 weeks unless stated otherwise. Agility classes are $100. Any other dog sports are priced as listed in the class information block. All classes meet on a lighted, fenced, grass training field. Agility students quickly progress to off leash work with obstacles so students will need a good recall and working relationship with their dog.

Beginning Agility Obstacle Skills

This class will introduce dogs to contacts, tunnels and weave poles as appropriate for the dog’s age. Dogs should be at least 6 mo old and have a good working relationship with their owner.

Monday – 7:00 pm

Intermediate Agility

Dogs in this class should be comfortable on all equipment and able to complete short sequences. Weave poles will use guide wires if needed.

Advanced Agility

Dogs in this class should be able to run full courses and perform 6-12 weave poles without guide wires. This class will feature skills and course sequences commonly seen in the Elite/Masters level of AKC, NADAC, UKI, and USDAA.

AKC Fit Dog, CGC, CGCA, Tricks

The AKC FIT DOG program is a program developed by AKC and taught by AKC FIT DOG Instructors. AKC FIT DOG courses are fun and fitness-focused to help you get your dog into shape! You can also earn points towards AKC FIT DOG titles. You will learn proper form and safety while doing various fitness exercises to improve your dog’s balance, flexibility, and body awareness.

The AKC Canine Good Citizen tests demonstrate your dog has basic obedience skills and manners important for responsible dog ownership. Dogs entering this class should know a basic sit, down, stay, recall, and not be reactive to humans or dogs. We will be fine tuning your skills to prepare for the CGC or CGCA test.

AKC Trick Dog titles are a fun way to learn new skills with your dog and build on your training. This course will help you learn tricks that will meet the requirements of the novice, intermediate, or advanced levels. The list of tricks by level can be found on AKC Trick Dog.

The classes will be be 6 weeks and include your FitDog Certificate, CGC or CGCA test, and a tricks test at the level of your choosing. This course is $150 and includes your testing.
